Electronic Circuit Schematic of Comparator or Signal Condition using LM324

Robometricschool. - After we using sensor circuit schematic, usually we need the next circuit schematic that called signal condition like comparator. The function of comparator circuit here is to change the analog signal to be digital signal 0 and 1. 

In this time we want to show you one of the comparator circuit schematic that used to change the analog signal from the line sensor become the digital signal as the input for microcontroller. This circuit schematic suitable used in Line Follower Robotic. This main component that used in comparator circuit schematic is IC LM324 that very familiar now.

Component List
  1. R10, R11 : 10K ohm
  2. IC LM324

  1. Input A and input B come from the output line sensor circuit schematic left and right from line follower robot.
  2. R10 and R11 used to sett the voltage reference to get good digital output.
  3. Output from the left and right sensors (node A and B) are connected to the non inverting input on the left and right comparators. 
  4. Output of the left comparator is connected to P1.0 of the microcontroller and output of the right comparator is connected to P1.1 of the microcontroller. 
  5. Both comparators are wired in non inverting mode and the table given below shows their output  voltage with respect to the possible input voltage combinations.
