Autonomous Shipboard Humanoid (ASH) Robot from US NAVY that Inspired from Star Wars Movie Character

Robometricschool. - There are many robot that developed to help military work now. Like robot that developed from United State NAVY that develop robot that inspired from Star Wars movie, like robot C-3PO in this movie. Robot that developed from United State NAVI is named ASH that stand from Autonomous Shipboard Humanoid.

Autonomous Shipboard Humanoid ASH robot develop to help NAVY in their work. ASH robot developed by scientists at RoMeLa (Robotics & Mechanisms Laboratory) at Virginia Tech University, in collaboration with the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory in Washington DC in the scheme of human and robot interaction project.

ASH robot designed to has the ability to operate in an area filled with dense smoke, climbing stairs, slipping a narrow corridor, and even recognize the man command to prevent fires a deadly disaster. In face this robot has sensors and infrared cameras to enable interpret human movements even in dense indoor smoke.

In the arm this robot can operate hoses, fire extinguishers, and other materials to extinguish the fire. With this ability robot can operate to extinguish the fire. Structure of ASH body robot made from titanium and aluminum and is powered by an electric battery that can store about 30 minutes. To know more structure ASH robot please see figure 2 bellow:

In next plan ASH robot will be developed with good ability like complete this robot with protection against heat and flame, sensor, navigation, and ability to extinguish the fire better. 

ASH robot is developed after Virginia Tech team develops Charli-1, which can move in any direction, and perform simple tasks using the upper body.
